    • Hi Quoc Dat,
You can use the plugin as long as you like, but downloads and support is valid for 1 year.

  1. I want to understand this correctly.

I can make links that expire, but can I also have videos online playing, which:
    1. cannot be downloaded
    2. makes the videopage expire, like 48 hours after the viewer started?

My client has a course, and wants each viewer to have their own unique expiry dates, depending on when they start watching.

and which membership plugin do you recommend?

    • Hi Remco,
1: “cannot be downloaded” doesn’t exist, alas. Even with AES-protection, certain download apps can do it, as we unfortunately discovered last week.
2: A page wherein a video resides is controlled by a membership system, not by the plugin. The plugin creates an expiring link for a video which renews each time the page is loaded, that is to say, each time a new unique URL is created for the video itself.

A membership system has the capability to only give access to page when a member logs in. So, only a member can see the page with the video. Pages themselves don’t expire, but you can limit the amount of days/months a member has access.
Membership Pro, Wishlist, S2Member, WooCommerce Member plugin, they are fine to work with although it depends where you live. If tyou live in Europe and want to sell international, WooCommerce member plugin will be best because it has tax options for the EU.
If you have further questions, let me know.
