Know compatibility issues
Swell lite Theme
The Swell lite theme interferes with all versions of S3Media Stream.
It set a video wrapper that messes up the player div. In order to prevent this from happening,
open single.php located in wp-content/themes/swell-lite and place two forward slashes at line code 83, like this:
//wp_enqueue_script( 'swell-custom', get_template_directory_uri() . '/js/jquery.custom.js', array( 'jquery', 'swell-superfish', 'swell-fitvids' ), '20130729', true );
Then safe the file. That should solve the problem.
Divi theme (from Elegant themes)
The Divi theme causes videos to show up halfway, cropping away 50% of the height from a video. This occurs irregularly, sometimes the video shows up normal but mostly cropped. We are looking into the problem currently and will update this message when we find the solution.
The Soledad theme causes RTMP streaming to display only half of the video. Contact the author of the theme, who will give you two .js files to replace in the theme's folder.
Amazon CloudFront in China
Amazon CloudFront is blocked by the government of China. As a result, streaming video does not work for customers located at China.
Watermark and WPEngine
In order to make the dynamic watermark work, WPEngine requires you to setup a RewriteRule in the dashboard to redirect watermark.png to the script. Once this is setup, it works.
